Antibiotics Awareness Week is November 18-24

November 18-24, 2019 is U.S. Antibiotic Awareness Week (USAAW). Use resources from the CDC to help spread the word about the appropriate use of antibiotics to effectively treat infections, combat antibiotic resistance, and protect patients.

The CDC has prepared the USAAW Be Antibiotics Aware Partner toolkit. The toolkit contains a variety of social media content, key messages, graphics, and much more to help you and your center prepare for USAAW.

In addition, are you prepared for the Requirements of Participation Phase III component that requires an Infection Preventionist in your center?  To ensure proper compliance, check out AHCA’s Infection Prevention and Control Officer (IPCO) Training.  You can find all the information about this course here.  As a reminder, the RoP Phase III goes into effect November 28, 2019.  Don’t delay, get your facility ready for Phase III by enrolling in the IPCO Training today.
