Register for the January 18 Survey Program

Sign up today for the Examining and Learning from 2021 Surveys program on January 18. Mary Chiles, RN, RAC-CT and the Chiles Healthcare Consulting team will take a deep dive into the 2021 results of the Long Term Care Survey Process (LTCSP) using data from SMART. They will share information on the most-cited deficiencies and drill down to identify trends in scope and severity as well as the most frequent reasons why specific F-Tags were cited. The program will also include a discussion about facility-initiated discharges—from their impact on residents to legal ramifications.

Help Keep SMART smart!

VHCA-VCAL’s Survey Management and Analysis Tool (SMART) is used to analyze current trends and patters in the survey process. If you’ve recently undergone a survey, you can help add to the pool of data by taking these quick steps:

  • submitting your 2567 and cover letter to Mary Chiles. Information from your survey will be added to SMART.
  • responding to the SMART Questionnaire to help us learn more about the survey environment. Responses are kept confidential and only shared in aggregate summary.

Health and Safety Protocols

In our continuing efforts to ensure the health and safety of all present at in-person VHCA-VCAL events, all attendees and presenters will be required to provide proof they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. (To be considered fully vaccinated, you must be two weeks past your second dose in a two-dose series (Pfizer or Moderna) or two weeks past a single-dose vaccine (J&J/Janssen)). You will be asked to submit your proof of vaccination upon registering. Read more about our health and safety protocols online
