What’s new: Kesia Gwaltney, PhD has joined the VDH Office of Licensure and Certification (OLC) as the agency’s new long term care division director.

• The list of OLC survey supervisors by region has also been updated.

VHCA-VCAL Chief Clinical & Regulatory Affairs Officer April Payne has met with her and the OLC leadership team. VHCA-VCAL looks forward to working with Gwaltney in her new role.

Prior to joining VDH, Gwaltney was a regional manager in the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services – Office of Licensing. Gwaltney holds bachelor and master degrees in social work from Virginia State University and Norfolk State University, respectively. She earned her PhD in human and social services with a specialization in mental health facilitation from Walden University.
