Invitation to Join the LTC Clinician Network
Medical directors and clinicians are invited to participate in the Virginia LTC Clinician Network (LTC-CN).
- This project is led by Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and is sponsored by VDH through a Virginia Long-Term Care Infrastructure Pilot Project (VLIPP) grant.
- Sign up to receive notices about future monthly forums and the LTC-CN newsletter.
About the network: The LTC-CN brings together medical directors and clinicians practicing in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other congregate care settings, such as Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).
- It provides a monthly forum for peer discussions and ensures access to the latest clinical COVID-19 care guidelines, a monthly newsletter, and access to free resources.
Monthly Forum: LTC-CN will host 60-minute Zoom sessions to connect LTC clinicians around the state. Discussions will continue to integrate COVID-19 topics, but will also expand to cover other areas of interest like:
- Infection control practices (enhanced barrier precautions, etc.)
- Clinical topics (falls, antipsychotic use, antibiotic stewardship, etc.)
- Vaccinations (influenza, pneumonia, COVID-19, shingles)
- State and federal legislative updates
- Advance care planning and capacity determination
- QAPI and sample PIP charters
How to join: Clinicians can visit https://ltccn.vcu.edu/, click “Join The Network” and register.
- Please spread the word about this opportunity with your medical directors and clinicians.
