Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

• 4/23—Attended the AHCA/NCAL webinar, CMS’s Minimum Staffing Rule: What You Need to Know Today.
• 4/24—Attended the CMS National Nursing Home Stakeholder Call.
• 4/24—Met with DMAS to discuss issues related to change of ownership and cost reports.
• 4/25—90 individuals participated in the Emergency Prep Webinars and Tabletop Exercise: Updates and Action Items for LTC & AL.
• 4/25—Hosted a member webinar on the CMS minimum staffing rule.
• 4/25—Participated in the monthly meeting of AHCA’s Reimbursement Committee.
• 4/26—Attended the APIC Virginia April Board meeting.
