Vernon Baker: Why Attend the Legislative Conference

vernon_bakerVHCA-VCAL Chairman Vernon Baker, Administrator of Dogwood Village of Orange County invites you to attend the upcoming Legislative Conference.

The annual VHCA-VCAL Legislative Conference is just two weeks away. I have always made it a priority to go to this event each year for a few reasons.

First, I think it’s important to go to the General Assembly to talk to my legislators.   While they are busy during session, it’s essential for them to know we care about the decisions they make that affect our profession.

Second, hearing the latest updates on the bills that affect the industry, as well as to hear from state government leaders like Sec. Hazel, is invaluable.

Lastly, I really appreciate the opportunity to get together with all of my peers and learn from their experience.   (It’s nice to earn my CEUs at the same time.)

I hope you will join me to get these benefits from attending the conference, too. Registration is still open and the deadline for our room block at the Richmond Omni runs through this Friday. Follow this link to register and make your hotel reservation: VHCA-VCAL Legislative Conference.

See you on February 24-25 in Richmond.
