Remember to take advantage of the voluntary testing window to register for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) electronic staffing data collection program, also known as the payroll-based journal (PBJ).  Mandatory data submissions for all nursing facilities will begin on July 1, 2016, so now is a great time to test your ability to report your staffing levels, turnover, and tenure information.  These metrics must be auditable back to your payroll data.
