Overview
The Assisted Living Symposium is an annual event designed for assisted living professionals. Be inspired, network with your peers, and earn NAB-approved continuing education.
Keynote Speaker: Greg O’Brien
Greg O’Brien, award-winning investigative journalist and author, will candidly discuss his experience with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease diagnosed at the age of 59.
O’Brien has been chronicling his experience with the disease to help others know what to expect. He will discuss key moments in his journey that reveal the ways in which this disease affects entire families and the emotional toll it takes on both the people living with the disease and their loved ones. With candor and humor, O’Brien allows us to peer into his experience and feel the impact of Alzheimer’s disease.
Get a sneak peak by reading O’Brien’s own words: I’m documenting my own Alzheimer’s disease while I still can. (washingtonpost.com)
