Overview
Sign up for the Life Safety Compliance Boot Camp and bring your maintenance director to ensure your center is compliant with the federal, state, and local life safety and building codes. Led by nationally recognized life safety expert Roy LeNeave, this 1.5 day training will provide you with practical advice and strategies to keep your residents and staff safe.
This training will help you be survey and inspection ready by learning what the Office of Licensure and Certification, and the local fire authorities are looking for. Remember, OLC is conducting life safety/CMS inspections within 14 days of clinical surveys to assess NFPA code compliance and CMS regulations. Local fire authorities or the State Fire Marshal conducts inspections focused on the 2015 State Fire Prevention Code. The training is also applicable to assisted living facilities as many of the code standards are the same as for nursing facilities.
The training will cover critical areas for life safety compliance including: oxygen and oxygen safety; recordkeeping; special locking devices; fire drills; and inspections for exit signs, emergency lights, pull stations, rated doors, corridors, fire extinguishers, electrical receptacles, and eyewash stations. This training is geared for administrators, regionals, and maintenance directors. Attendees will be given a full-color study binder to use as a reference tool to prepare for surveys/inspections.
