Who should attend this workshop?

The two-day MDS Basic workshop is designed for new MDS coordinators and any other interdisciplinary team members who need to know what the MDS is all about.

Topics covered:

• Introduction to the RAI process
• Line-by-line coding instructions for crucial sections typically completed by the MDS Coordinator, including interview skills and review of Sections G, H, I, J, M, N, O, and P
• Regulatory requirements for Care Area Assessments (CAA) and care planning, including the requirement for the 48 hour care plan under Phase II of the new Requirements of Participation
• OBRA scheduling
