VHCA-VCAL This Week

VHCA-VCAL This Week

VHCA-VCAL’s advocacy work on behalf of long term care providers is a year-round job.  While the General Assembly session may get most of the attention, the meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session can have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates.

We’ll be using this space to highlight VHCA-VCAL staff and leadership’s participation in meetings and events that are critical to the profession.

Take a look at our outreach and advocacy work for the week of June 20, 2022.

  • 6/22—Attended the one-year anniversary celebration for The Westmont at Short Pump.
  • 6/22—Participated in a meeting for AHCA’s state reimbursement specialists.
  • 6/22—Attended a meeting of Virginia’s Community Integrated Health Network’s finance and operations workgroup.
  • 6/23—Hosted the Regirer Nurse Scholarship Golf Tournament.
  • VHCA-VCAL Chairman Derrick Kendall, Vice Chair Karen Stanfield, and Secretary/Treasurer Mark Klyczek, and VHCA-VCAL staff met with Secretary of Health and Human Resources John Littel to discuss the association’s priorities.
