June Webinars: Introduction to Activity Management in LTC

Registration is now open for VHCA-VCAL’s Introduction to Activity Management in Long Term Care virtual training course. The DSS Division of Licensing Programs has approved the course as a training program in adult group activities and in recognizing and assessing the activity needs of residents. The course meets the requirements of 22 VAC 40-73-1120 F5 of the Standards for Licensed Assisted Living Facilities.

This course offers 45 hours of comprehensive training over eight days in June on programming and documentation for activity personnel. Sign up your staff today to help them learn how to design programs that are meaningful, fulfilling, and fun from customer service experts, LTC industry consultants, gerontologists, and leaders in Alzheimer’s care.

The course is designed to help individuals who work in the activities field build their knowledge and skills to provide engaging activity programs in senior care settings. The course meets various federal and state regulatory requirements for activity personnel working in Virginia.
