Share Positive Vaccination Stories: #GetVaccinated
As COVID-19 vaccination clinics get underway at assisted living facilities, we encourage you to promote positive vaccination stories between their first and second clinics. Sharing positive stories will help with vaccine uptake and building confidence in the safety and efficacy of the vaccine. We have best practices and sample social media posts to help with these efforts.
Best Practices
- Use the AHCA/NCAL campaign hashtag #GetVaccinated to keep conversation consistent and searchable on social media.
- Feel free to tag @ahcancal and other partner organizations as you see fit.
- Actively respond to tweets/comments to stir up discussion.
- Review this set of tactics for effectively communicating with staff.
Ideas
- Encourage peer-to-peer conversations about the safety and benefits of getting vaccinate.
- Share pictures or videos of staff and residents getting vaccinated (with appropriate releases)
- Tell a story: why are they getting the vaccine?
- Share progress reports: how many residents/staff have been vaccinated?
- Share links to news articles about vaccination events or positive reception of the vaccines.
