DSS Recommendations for Reopening and Resource Round Up
DSS issued a memo on June 23 with Recommendations for Reopening Assisted Living Facilities. Each individual facility should consider the reopening criteria and move through reopening phases based on assessment of its own specific circumstances.
To the greatest extent possible, DSS advises that ALFs follow the CMS recommendations in QSO-20-30-NH: Nursing Home Reopening Recommendations for State and Local Officials (May 18, 2020) and the Virginia Department of Health Nursing Home Guidance for Phased Reopening. (Note the VDH guidance was last updated on July 14.)
