Upcoming Relias Webinar with Teepa Snow

Upcoming Relias Webinar with Teepa Snow

When dementia is involved, challenging situations may occur and could result in significant stress and conflict. However, when a caregiver has a thorough knowledge of what behaviors can arise within various stages of the disease, they are better able to manage these instances and their responses, resulting in more effective and better quality care.

On March 28 Relias is hosting a free webinar led by Teepa Snow, Owner and Trainer of Positive Approach® to Care. Snow will discuss the importance of using observational and hands-on skills, self-awareness, and environmental supports and modifications to optimize care and decrease the probability of challenging situations for the person living with dementia.

Progression of Dementia: How to Help When Behaviors Are Challenging
March 28, 2019 | 2:00 – 3:00 pm

This webinar will provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of the progression of dementia and behaviors that affect caregiving and daily programming throughout the disease. We will use the concept of gemstones to help caregivers appreciate the value and uniqueness of each stage as the condition progresses.
