U.S. News and World Report Offers Advice on Choosing an ALF

As part of its annual announcement of its Best Nursing Homes list, U.S. News and World Report has run a series of articles on assisted living. The articles describe what assisted living is, offer recommendations for discussing assisted living with an aging parent, and outline advice on how to choose an assisted living facility (ALF).

On choosing an ALF, NCAL Director of Communications Rachel Reeves said, “it’s really built on this idea of maximizing independence, offering socialization and focusing on well-being while still offering a home-like environment.”
