Deadlines to register and book a room for the January Introduction to Activity Management in Long Term Care course are fast approaching.

Why send your staff? This course meets state requirements for activity professionals in Virginia including the requirements of 22 VAC 40-73-1120 F 5 of the Standards for Licensed Assisted Living Facilities.

• In addition, the DSS Division of Licensing Programs has approved this course as a training program in adult group activities and in recognizing and assessing the needs of residents.

The course offers 45 hours comprehensive training in programming and documentation.

• Attendees will get advice and practical tips on how to design activities that support positive aging, build a sense of community, promote residents’ rights, and more.
