DSS-VCU Infection Prevention and Control Training: PPE Modules

The latest modules of the DSS and VCU Gerontology CCE Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) training program cover Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The PPE Part II webinar is August 4.

This is a two-part training that will be delivered over two months.

  • The July session focused on defining PPE, the importance of PPE, and how to correctly use and maintain PPE as it relates to gloves and facemasks.
  • The August 4 session will briefly recap the July training and will focus on gowns, eye protection (goggles/face shields), and respirators (i.e., N95s)

Additional modules in the 2022 IPC Training will be released in the coming months. The topics to be explored will include hand hygiene, source control, and OSHA requirements. The program is free for participants. For any questions about this training program, please contact gerocce@vcu.edu.
