To ensure Virginia’s facilities are provided the opportunity to take advantage of the Pharmacy Partnership for Long Term Care Program, VDH partnered with the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to opt in all Virginia long term care facilities (LTCFs)—including assisted living facilities (ALFs) that had not completed the survey. The program will provide COVID-19 vaccination services for all residents once vaccination is recommended for them. 

Please note, this action does not bind any facility to program participation, nor does it assign a facility to a specific pharmacy partner. Rather, this action was taken to ensure as many of Virginia’s LTCFs are contacted and placed in the queue if and when the program kicks off and the facility wishes to participate.

What is most important at present is that your facility is registered for the program. You can review your selection as follows:

• ALFs can review their selection in REDCap using the unique code that the facility received when the form was initially completed.
• SNFs can review their data in NHSN by going in through the calendar view.
