Board certification makes a difference. NCAL’s 2018 Nurse of the Year Amanda Garcia’s nursing career as an assisted living RN at The Kensington in Fort Madison, Iowa is filled with accomplishments. She was the first in her county to become a facilitator and instructor for end-of-life care.
