DSS issued a memo to inform assisted living facilities that the barrier crimes list  was recently updated to reflect changes to the Code of Virginia. No substantial changes were made to the list.

Changes were technical edits to match the current offense listed in the Code section. The General Assembly passed a bill earlier this year related to the legalization of the simple possession of marijuana and a bill to reorganize the code sections on the penalties for prostitution/human trafficking, which necessitated the updates to the list.
